Kiwi Roots Farm is a small, family owned, market garden located along the Connecticut shoreline in the town of Westbrook. It is also the story of a family establishing their roots on their micro-farm, sharing what they have as they grow.  The Frame family are excited for another great growing season, and hope you can join them as they continue their farming journey.

Kiwi Roots is inspired by Dan’s farming background in New Zealand. Through work in a number of farming ventures over the years, in both New Zealand and throughout the USA, he has learned to appreciate all approaches to growing but has come to value more ecological and sustainable practices. (See “How We Farm” to learn more). At Kiwi Roots Farm our goal is to have a positive impact on the environment, maximize the health of the soil, and maintain the full nutritive value in food produced.

Though Dan is the main grower on Kiwi Roots Farm, Kathleen and the kids are an integral part of our market garden. They are grateful to have found this prolific spot along the Connecticut shoreline to raise their family and share their bounty with their local community.

Kiwi Roots Farm will be growing a variety of seasonal vegetables and herbs. Everyone is welcome to call in to the farm store and explore the delicious options available throughout the seasons ahead.
